An expert recommendation (I love the Clementi- and aren't his sonatas woefully neglected?), and as usual, you are a help to us all. Thanks for your contributions. thumb

Thanks, Jason. It's been hectic lately, so I admit being unable to seek out all the various posts to try offering response to. Should have some window of time in a few weeks. Everyone at PW has a special manner, and I have been very impressed with some of the musicalogical posts about composers and repertoire that I was unaware of. There are truly brilliant minds writing here, and I am enjoying this site very much.

I would very much like to use the youtube site to listen to the Schulz-Evler transcription but it requires a flash-player which I can't seem to download. Tho I follow the instructions at some point it just sits there and never downloads. The FAQ section is of no help either. Other sites require it as well so I can't open those either. Does some wise computer expert have an answer for me? I would certainly appreciate it!

Thanks!

As for the composition, I've been fascinated by it since my high school teacher played it for me one day and I have the Lhevinne (two versions) and one by Mme. de Horvath--both technically mind blowing. So to hear Mr. Biegel do it would be an additional pleasure!

Regards,

Ralph

It's hard to believe that a piece this difficult could be played with such agility and graceful musical sense in a live performance, but I've heard Jeff do it. I was 30 feet from the keyboard and it was mesmerizing to watchand hear. The beauty of his playing literally moved me to tears. After it was over I can remember having only one thought -- thank God I went to law school!

Wow Beautiful and impeccably performance. I’m not sure if I should post this here or in AB fourm.. I started taking lessons at age 48, 3.5 years ago . When I saw Jeff name I thought it sound familiar to me since I have this Schirmer performance Editions 9 Sonatina Album Clementi, Kuhlau,Dussek and Beethoven with CD that is edited by Jeff Biegel . His recordings of all these sonatina are amazing. I am inspired to learn this sonatina in C major by Clementi when I listen to his second part of this sonatina it makes my eyes teary. He has that magic touch. Jeff thanks for sharing your beautiful music.

You are so sweet to write so eloquently about my work. I truly appreciate your kindness--and, very honored to know that my edition of the sonatinas is breaking ground. It was certainly a challenge to record these famous morsels. What is the AB forum?
