Hi all! What australian magazines are you aware of, that would interest a classical pianist/singer/classical music fan, etc.
Also help me out here.... back in the topic "Movies about pianists" on January, 30th...someone mentioned a "piano magazine"...??
Take care, hope to get some replies shortly!

Jemima! Where've you been hiding? Its been such a long time since you've been here. Do you still have that music that I gave you? Do you still play it? You've missed a lot since you've left. If you really wanna laugh, go to page 8 (or it could be on page 9 by the time you get this) and clicked on a thread called Evgeny, and read it, all 7 pages of it. I know, I know, it was such a long time ago now, but I still find myself laughing about it. Anyway, I don't know of any Austrailian Musician Magazines. Theres a great magazine that I have a big pile of in my livingroom from the late 80's-early and mid 90's (my grandmother gave them to my. She used to sing as a hobby) called Sheet Music Magizine. It had mostly rock and roll, but it also had small classical sections in them too. I have no idea if they're even still in print. Its really the only one that I know of.

Yes, 'Piano' magazine is a currently active mag published in GB. I can provide the details if you're interested in subscription info, etc.

firstly, is it available in Australia? because believe it nor not, thats where i live!! What? You mean people actually live on that tiny island! I don't know if they reach the ends of the earth but a couple of magazines you might look out for are Clavier and Piano and Keyboard. Strad is also good to get an idea how the other half lives. A decent public library should have at least one of these. And if you have access to a university library, that would be worth trying too. For online magazines there are a lot of useful links at Classical Hub Good luck!

jemima, I live here in US. I had no problem in attaining a subscription to "Piano" magazine. Here is the info for you: Rhinegold Publishing Limited 241 Shaftestbury Ave. London WC2H 8TF England Subscription phone: 01474-334500 Fax: 01474-325557 E-mail: subs@rhinegold.co.uk WEB URL: www.rhinegold.co.uk This mag contains primarily classical stuff. Normally it features one article focused on jazz. Hope this helps... Rgds, AndrewG

Andrew,
Do you happen to have the address for subscriptions to Clavier magazine? Someone asked me for it yesterday, and I've misplaced it.
Thanks in advance.
Mike
