If you don't talk to your children about equal temperment, who will?

He probably knows of him as I do. His recent re-release of the Beethoven Sonatas is a very thoughtful reading, but is disliked by many critics.

I really didn't like his recent Appassionata recording, although his Davidsbundlertanze on the same disc was decent.

I saw Biss play this past Sunday at Curtis. He played Berg Op1 Sonata, Mozart K511 and the Schubert A major sonata.

My youngest son fell asleep. I wasn't far behind him.

Do or do not. There is no try.

It was the repertoire, not the pianist laugh

Biss stems from a very "intellectual" breed of pianists like Serkin, Brendel, Goode,Uchida, - who usually enjoy putting up erratic programs like the one above....usually with a Schubert sonata and a modern work by Shoneberg or Berg - and they like to stay away from Russian composers or Chopin - don't ask me why.
As much as I appreciate their way of playing, I prefer the more romantic pianists laugh

His beethoven Appassionata was really bad, heard him play it live and it was full with mistakes, wrong notes, bad pedaling, and wierd tempo changes.

I'm no proffessional myself. But someone who's giving concerts around the worlds halls, and being tutored by Leon Fleisher...... I expect a little more than that.
