Can anyone tell me some good Impressionistic composers besides Ravel and Debussy? Particularly in French music.
I've heard Albeniz mentioned, I'm not sure if he's impressionistic.

If it doesn't have to be French, try John Ireland and Frank Bridge. In orchestral music try Bax and Delius.

Wow! Delius is great, I love tone poems like he composes. Man, that's good...

I know none of these are French, but try Ottorino Respighi, Karol Szymanowsky and Charles Griffes.

Mompou!!!!!!!

I particularly like the Scenes d'Infants

Takemitsu, especially his later works. Even though these are from the 1980s and 90s, they're quite close stilistically to impressionism. I highly recommend this CD as an introduction.

I have an ice cream. I cannot mail it, for it will melt.
