It's not your typical pump and dump piano operation. No shoddy salesman. Plan to spend a few hours if you are gonna go there because you'll have a fabulous time and lose track of time. Make sure you ask to tour the factory and look for this _monster_ Steinway D they are working on.

After my visit to Cunningham, I finally get to join the piano club like you guys. After playing several pianos, the one pictured below captured me and I couldn't stay away from it. I played Estonias and those are very, very impressive. I played my first Mason and Hamlin and the bass was what everyone siad of it but when all was said and done, this rebuilt Steinway was a keeper. I'm surprised because I was looking to get a Mason and Hamlin but after playing this instrument I was done.

It's a rosewood Steinway B made in 1894 and recently rebuilt with nice heavy action (love those).

I'll post some audio/video of it when I get a chance. It is very expressive and has a lovely tone.
esteven1,

What a beautiful piano. And I like the room it's in. Awesome.

Oops sorry!

Knabe D from the 1920's and NY Steinway B from 1955.

The Steinway and I are the same age, except it has less nicks in the case!

skyblanche,

O, so one piano wasn't good enough for you. I see how you are. LOL smile
You should put them where you go face to face like dualing pianos. 2hearts

I'm not sure which is more beautiful - your wife or the piano!

Preizler, Are all of your exterior walls as thick as the one shown in the picture? If they are and your attic insulation matches the walls, then you would be able to heat your place with a candle.

mjg100 - No the outside of the house extends out around the window - but still, in Seattle it doesn't take much to heat the house - thanks

I'm a fool for Chopin. The biggest mistake in my life......Thinking that fishing was more fun than Bach when I was younger.
