Very nice. What piano is that?

Our 2 youngest in the music area section of our downstairs family room. Its a Kohler & Campbell KCG600. I made their matching pj's!

Nice photo. Are the boy's learning to play?

Mazer, they have a full sized keyboard downstairs as well as drums & a guitar but don't seem all that interested.

However we're going to try the youngest one with some kind of music lessons when he is 5. It may be piano or we may try guitar because he'll strum it on occasion & make up songs.

The older one tried drum lessons for a little while but became disinterested quickly. However he is very competitive, so if little brother takes up an instrument, we are hoping that he may follow suit.

That is a great looking piano!

What is it?

I have a Schulze Pollman 190 in the mahagony briar finish (those are the inside panels). The outside color is just regular mahogany and the boxes are lined with a walnut trim.

Congratulations on your purchase 10 days ago. That is a great looking piano. That is a great looking room. Love the hardwood floors. I am renovating my house now, and I'm having cherry hardwood installed. Did you get the piano to play, or for the Dog?

Wonderful piano! I guess the fact that it sounds nice is a plus.

The dog's bed is a result of acoustics experiments. He also happens to love it under the piano. Its his own little "cave".

The dog is 12 and losing his hearing, so it doesn't bother him when I start practicing. If only I could say the same for the hearing folks around. :rolleyes:

I.D.s of make and vintage would be nice, this from one who will watch a movie over trying to identify a piano but who couldn't tell you the plot afterward. Chickering concert grand, circa 1890.

What are you talking about it's not pretty? It's a nice old piano. A piano doesn't have to shine to be pretty. It's pretty in it's own way. It's got some history, and a little nostalgic behind it. Thanks for taking the time to share your pictures.

The dents tend to distract me. And so do the constantly sustained notes in the upper register. It can be nice once in a while, of course. Thanks though. ;D I'm working on websized pictures instead of grainy hi res

Where are your photos?

Well to be honest Mazersteven, I expected to post them well before this but I have yet to receive delivery of my soup to nuts rebuilt vintage Chickering. It has been delayed 4 times over the past 2 months for various reasons, mostly scheduling. I was expecting it this past Thursday until I received a call from the rebuilder that it would be delayed another week due to separation of a small section of the veneer on the lid which had to be re-glued and laquered. He wanted to wait another week before delivery to give the laquer time to harden up a bit. I'm expecting delivery this coming Saturday. I have my fingers crossed that I don't receive a late Sunday call like I did last week delaying it yet again.
