Hey, I'm new...
Anyway, I've just about finished learning Chopin's fantasie impromptu, and I'm wondering what song I should learn to play next. I'm not the kind of guy whose good at making up their mind and I could use a couple suggestions. btw, I like the darker pieces a little more than the happy sounding ones.

Those are good suggestions...maybe the 3rd impromptu, I was thinking of Chopin's scherzos, but I'm not sure if I'm even good enough. Maybe I'll play one next year.

How bout Ravel's Oiseaux Tristes (Miroirs), Chopin's Scherzo no.1 or 2 or Nocturne Op.27 no.1, Brahms Rhapsody Op.79 no.1 in B minor, Mozart Sonatas in A minor K.310 and C minor, K.457, and Scriabin Prelude Op.11 no.14.

It's more musically interesting, quite dark and mysterious and has a similar rhythmic problem to the Impromptu that might be more challenging to solve.
