Nicholas,

That is a gorgeous Steinway B. Is it a lacquer finish? Looks shiny, but not as shiny as the RX2.

I love the Art Deco details on Steinways of pre-Depression vintage. thumb

These are some instructions for posting your pictures on Piano World.
They will stay here on Piano World for ever if you upload them to Piano World.

First you will have to have pictures in low resolution and smaller size. You can take them in low resolution on your camera, like a cell phone takes. Or better, is to use a picture program to make the pictures from a good camera web friendly. I use PhotoShop, or a cheap program that I have, to resize them into a low resolution, jpg. You will need them in 640 pixel width. Then you can upload them to PW using the uploader with the link below. PW will then email you the location to put in the link, which you find in "Post a Reply",...then "full Reply Form" and then "IMAGE". You can only put six pictures in each reply. Smiles and such count as a picture. Here it is.

I have saved this link in my favorites as I don't know how to find this link on Piano World. [Confused] I wish that Frank would make finding this web page much easier.

If this isn't clear enough then ask me again.

Just arrived today! My 1960's-era Baldwin L. smile I didn't want to put it right next to the window, but for now that was my only option.

O.k. I'll join in then. Here's my 1989 Yamaha U3E. I couldn't fit it into my old place for many years and had to live with a Kawai digital. wow am I glad I've moved and can now have it here. It's a beautiful instrument.

Seeing the Baldwin L made me want to share, too!

I like the space you have for your piano. It's beautiful! Someday we may get around to remodeling the room, but for now we have this funny green carpet, LOL.

Guess I need to post over in the piano forum to see if anyone can tell me what year mine was built. I'm guessing 1967-1968 based on what I found online elsewhere, but I'm not positive.

Thank you...that room was added on to the house primarily for a piano. I'd been without one since moving out of my parents' house twenty-six years ago!

That Baldwin may be for sale soon. It's a powerful piano and in that room (which is actually softer now than it appears in these photos) it's a bit overpowering and has been hard to voice. It's all original and in lovely shape, but the tech says new hammers would do it nicely.

Unfortunately/fortunately, while "shopping around" comparing pianos mostly for fun, I came upon what is, to me, the finest instrument I've ever played (a 2000 Steinway B) and may end up with it. Strangely, at 6'11", it's a much quieter instrument than the 6'3" Baldwin.

Anyway, the room's big, but not big enough for two pianos, so the Baldwin will have to go...

Same kind of thing happened to me and now I've got a big Bluthner and bigger Bosie. I "solved" the problem my moving the Bluther to my office - at least for now!

I wrote about it here: My New BOSENDORFER Arrives.
Here's my LR with the Bluthner

And here it is with the Bosie:

Hornung & Moller A13, ca. 1925. 192cm/6'4''
Rebuilt in 2008.

Any "educated guesses" concerning the manufacturing year of this instrument would be very welcome (there was no serial number). Note that there are only 85 keys. However, key tops are plastic.
