Thrakoji:

Do you have any details on the program? They don't seem to be at the Yamaha site.

I'm not sure what Kimball and Mei-ting are playing; for my part it'll be Les Jeux d'Eaux à la Villa d'Este, Valse Oubliée no 1, and Book one of the Op. 5 Klavierstucke of Eugene D'Albert.

I hope there will also be some Tausig in it! All the best for the concert (alas, wrong side of the ocean for me).

Same here, but wouldn't it be cool to meet Koji sometime?

Definitely. We can only hope he is going to visit old Europe more often \:\)

I had to google this term... No we shouldn't go Dutch with koji, we need to pay the bill if he cares to visit -- let's just pick a cheap restaurant \:D

And yes, at some point, a European meeting would be fun. It's a pity the density of piano geeks (at least of those who love to waste their time in forums) seems lower than in the US.

Btw, I'm trying not to be a "Dutch uncle" when commenting on other people's recordings. Another Dutch term I just learned...

Of course we'll pay. So now you've learned two English terms... that and "tongue in cheek"?

Ah, Irving Berlin, Cheek to Cheek. :p

Cheers, mate...

Yes, one of these days...I *will* make a Cziffra Society concert. Keep 'em coming! Great program, too..I'd be most interested in the Liszt-Cameron. That's one of my favorites among Liszt's neglected symphonic poems.
