What pieces of classical music aren't melodic/ don't have good melodies?

I have developed my own style, which in a way is kind of like romantic piano, but all this time, I've been improvising over chord changes and throwing Tatum runs that correspond to those changes (and varying the runs a little), but I don't know if I ever develop a good melody when I improvise. It sounds beautiful to me, but I really don't think there is a melody to it, which might be pointless in some peoples minds.
So, I thought if I play this in my school band hour, they probably wouldn't like it because it doesn't have a melody. So, did I just waste my time by just learning Tatum runs and incorporating them into my own music?

Even though a piece might not have a melody to it, would you still like it if it sounded beautiful and good to the ear?

Melody is only one part of music. I have heard a lot of music with little to no melody that is still very beautiful. Heck, there are parts of my compositions that are like that.

The first stage of composition is imitation. Listen to a lot of different music and imitate those styles while adding you own "pieces of flare." Eventually, you can come up with a unique style that is very much your own.
