There is part near the bottom of the 5th page of the fugue which requires the left hand to stretch a 12th followed by a 10th.

If you know the part I'm talking about, can you tell me what common performance practice is for those of us who can't stretch a 12th!

Normally in those situations I just quickly play one note before the other, it happens a few times in liebstraum as well, but I might be wrong.

Ok! I read it. I'm going to omit the first E then break the rest of them with the bass notes on beat.
