I was at a piano competition today, watching, not competing. And there was this piece titled Cordoba by Lecuona, which was just absolutely charming. Anyone ever heard of this piece? Any ideas on where I might be able to get a score? The piece is absolutely fabulous...

I remember that my grandmother used to play this piece. Ernesto Leucona, right? A little-known Cuban composer, if I remember correctly. The piece is from the "Andalucia Suite." (sp on Andalucia?)

Hi,

Brendan is right, Lecuona is a Cuban and the piece is from the Andalusia Suite... also includes Malaguena, I think, if memory serves me correctly. (Malaguena is very recognizeable.)

I played the Suite years ago and really enjoyed it; it's also not extremely difficult. I'd forgotten all about it, but I'm going to dig it out and see if I can't bring it back up to speed.

Thanks!
Nina
