Hi everyone,

I am looking for a piano teacher in the SF bay area. I have had the same piano teacher for more than 5 years now and feel that she can't really help me with my playing anymore. I just go there and am assigned pieces, and that's basically it. I don't really feel like I am progressing. Any reccomendations?

I live in Hayward, between Fremont and Oakland. I don't want to drive too far also.

I know of a teacher in Newark, not too far from Hayward, named Jed Galant. His name pops up often at the Bay Area competitions--quite a few of his students have done well. Of course, that doesn't mean he's right for everybody. But at least you have a name--you might want to look him up and perhaps call him to find out if he has openings.

Good luck!

Work in progress...
