Hey guys, i just wanted to share a feeling that i'm sure everyone's felt at some time or another. Have you ever spent a really long time practicing and playing or ever have a day when you sit at the piano and your hands are extrememly nimble, percise, and strong. You feel like you can play anything. Everything that you play has a technical perfection that you never thought you could attain. You can play through your entire repetoir 5 times over and not even break a sweat.
Sadly this burst of godliness only last for a day or so, then its back to your old self.
Anyone else ever feel this or care to share any thoughts?

I went on vacation for 30 days. 30 days without touching or seeing a piano. When I finally got home I began to play and I was amazing for some reason. My hands were so relaxed and I could play my scales almost 3 times as fast and trill like a madman lol. I went back to normal the next day though, I was sad.

This forum dealt with playing like a god back in September of 2003: Originally posted by Buchan: Just turn on the charm and play like a God... [/b] Yes, but which one? The god my playing comes closest to is Ganesh. At least, I'm protected from memory slips. ------------------------------------------- Recycle them bad jokes.

The first time playing after the break always feels as though I'm playing surprisingly well. Your suggestion that it's due to being more than usually relaxed is an interesting one. And yes, reality does indeed hit the next day. Best wishes, Matthew

My co-workers make me feel like a goddess. I work with some of the absolute best in the business and they could not be more helpful, supportive, complimentary, etc. etc. Don't know what I could have done in my ?? life to deserve this good luck...
