No trouble for him, but it gave me some trouble.

I think it's recovery and discovery, and then re-entry. Gould is usually pretty good (even amazing) when his tempi aren't atrocious, which is rather rarely. Of course he also had too much fondness, all that highlighting, for the Alberti bass in Mozart's sonatas (and I suppose the bass in general, but I should listen to them aga---ah, nevermind).

I have no troubles at all with the Baroque, except for Bach who can get me in a snit. I could never memorize any of his works either because I was worrying about which finger did what, when, and where and I'd end up confused.
