Hi Cork and DFW folks.

The Van Cliburn final round will be on local TV down there. Any chance of getting one of you to record it? I would love to have a copy of the performances, and would happily pay for the tape and mailing costs! Below is the press release from competition:

"The Final Round of the Eleventh Van Cliburn International Piano Competition will be broadcast by the City of Fort Worth Community Cable Television Channel 31 from June 8-10, 2001. The concerto performances of all six finalists will be aired.
The schedule is as follows:

Friday, June 8 at 7pm: Oleksiy Koltakov and Wang Xiaohan

Saturday, June 9 at 9pm: Antonio Pompa-Baldi and Maxim Philippov

Sunday, June 10 at 4pm: Stanislav Ioudenitch and Olga Kern

Hope someone sees this and has the time to record these performances.

Thanks!
Dan

I wonder why PBS doesn't show any of the final performances?

I'd love to tape it but don't get the Ft. Worth community cable channel. Sorry.

Dan,

Unfortunately, no one in the group lives IN Fort Worth, and to my knowledge that cable channel is only carried on the local Fort Worth cable system.

And I don't even have cable! Sorry.

Darn, I was afraid of that! Oh well, thanks for taking a look anyway.
