HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I would just like to take this time to wish everyone to have a safe and fun holiday season. So, whatever you celebrate, have a happy ________ or, a merry _________ and a happy new year! I celebrate Chirstmas myself, but, I'd be willing to give festivis a try. (Inside joke for Sienfeld watchers). I'm just kidding, it actually sounds like a miserable holiday to me. Who'd want to take any part in that? (Festivis, that is).

Well, todays the day! What did you all get? So far, I've gotten a very nice telescope from my dad. I've always liked astronomy. Going to my grandparents in a few to see the rest of my family. My baby cousin that was born late last month (Nov. 27) I'm going to see for the first time besides in pictures. I can't wait! Have a Merry Christmas!

Besides the telescope, and my finally getting to meet my baby cousin in person (I was wrong in his age, he was born Nov. 25), I got some new classical piano CDs, a few Harry Potter collector items that will not be taken out of their boxes (might be worth big bucks some day), A poster displaying all of the piano chords, some kind of a strange, 3-d wood puzzle, a minuture radio that seems to only play one station (got to figure that one out), an Ocarania (Thats a fun one!), a couple of Motorola radios with 14 channles and up to a two mile range, a good sum of money, a gift certificate to Tower Records, a new T-shirt, some new sheet music books, and a few other misc. things. I have an enormious family. Anyway, the best gift of all was being able to see my baby cousin. Hes so cute. Very strong lungs though, man, when he cries, he cries!

I think it's important at times like these to remember that giving can be just as rewarding as receiving. That aside, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a happy New Year

Hope you've all had a very good holiday season. My work has taken over my life, for now. Haven't touched a piano in 4+ weeks. It will be interesting to see what happens when I get home. One good thing, however, is that I didn't have to play any Christmas carols this year. It's always expected and imposed upon us all.
Anyway, a lot of interesting discussions. One comment - you can spend a lifetime studying and still have no clue on the ornaments in Bach. Bottom line - don't get hung up on them (unless you're a professional or in college where the professors can be a real "pain"). Play them as you like or don't play them at all or add new ones.
