I recently visited the Big Apple which was my old home town and made my usual musical rounds, one of which was the lobby of Carnegie Hall. Before it was renovated, there used to be racks full of concert flyers just inside the main entrance. I used to collect these beautiful things, but the racks are no longer there. Maybe rising costs ended it, or perhaps in my hurry I missed them. Anyone know if these flyers still exist from Carnegie Hall? Perhaps with the computer age they feel they’re no longer needed.

Anyway, here are two of Artur Rubinstein which I especially like, especially the first with that great photo.

Let me know what you think. Some of you mentioned about hanging things like these on your wall. Well, here you go.

It's clear from typography and design, not to mention Rubinstein's youthful appearance in the photos, those are ANCIENT! 1950s? '40s?

The most telling signs of age are the prices!

50's, 40's ancient! Gasp! Sputter! Choke! I've been called a lot of things in my (many) day(s), but an all-upper-case ANCIENT! Harumph!

Oh, well, I guess I have to expect it now, but Palindrome, watch your back when you go out, huh? laugh

Or maybe as a Canadian, I should end that with "eh", eh?

Regards,
