His control over his playing is completely phenomenal. His emotion and dynamics are not lacking in any way as well.

Brilliant. The 1980's are truly the greatest age for the piano.

I suppose you don't get the joke.

Oh well, I am not surprised that most people here wouldn't get it.

I am more curious to see who will.

I still think it's hilarious in its own right, I just am not sure how that has to do with your first comment about him.

I don't "get it" and I'm trying to figure out what this has to do with topics in Pianist Corner - if anything. If not, why post it here?

Regards,

Well, this video came out about nine months before you were born. Is he your father?

I get it, after looking up "rickroll'd" in the UrbanDictionary.com.

wink

Here's the link to the dictionary definition, by the way, for Bruce and others:

Meh, I'm not surprised that people on here don't know what a "Rick Roll" is.

Think of it as an inside joke, but this doesn't really seem to be a board that is well versed in "internet" humor so to speak.

Nothing to feel offended about, now that I think about I am unsure why I originally thought people here would "get" the Rick Roll.

That's the spirit Sam!!

Basically, a Rick Roll is a misleading link that is given as a different link.

For example, you thought the link I posted originally would take you to an amazing piano video. Little did you know, it really took you to an extremely 80s video of Rick Astley.

It's a pretty old joke, but it has been an inside joke on the internet for years, though it seems only us young people seem to know about it.

It was never intended to be a "LOL" kind of joke.

More of a "Drats, I got Rick Roll'd again."
