Thanks signa, in some of the more technical spots I got a little nervious and rushed. Probably one of the main reasons why my score was not in the "winners circle" But a great and fun learning experience it was.

Well, you know what i'll say about your posture - maybe if I re-word: many pianist sit as you do - curving outward the lumber region. Yes, you do need to 'lean' into the piano but from lower down so that your lumber region naturally curves in. I play with blocks under the back legs to assist this. I've just spent all day in a seminar with Professor Earl Owen the renowned hand/face transplant surgeon. One of his jobs is for Sydney Opera. Four famous pianists performed there a short while ago (including Christine Ortiz) and he said they ALL blocked up the back legs. sitting on less of the stool will also help. Your torso/arms are wonderfully free!

I don't know of any concert hall in the world where this performance wouldn't hold it's own! Fantastic. I had to listen 3 times.

I agree totally with KeyboardKlutz on the posture issue. It needs to be put right otherwise there will be problems. You may not think it, but it is a slouch.

I thought your performance was very good and it's obvious you are *very* talented. Did the judges mention anything else of interest besides rushing at some technically difficult spots(or maybe that was your own conclusion?)?

What kind of piano did you play? And finally does your screen name mean you are a Debussy fan?

The technically difficult rushing was a comment that I myself made. One of the judges marked me down a little for stage presence not totally there. He told me that I really looked like I enjoyed it but I didn't acknowledge my audience enough.

I love to listen to Debussy, playing him is well.. uhhmm... :rolleyes:
