http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnXCAje5hpU The moniter brought me out a little too early because the judges were still writing down comment for the previous preformer. So I awkwardly sat and made gestures to my teacher (accompanying from the other side of the church) about how many measures I was going to count off . Be kind! :p Matt

Your user name came up, though mine is different on YouTube, so therefore you might not have known that you had company! Let's give Matt a for a job well done. This young lad is going to go places... and his presence on this forum is a treasure.

I agree totally with KeyboardKlutz on the posture issue. It needs to be put right otherwise there will be problems. You may not think it, but it is a slouch.
Very effective playing, though.

I think kbk means "lumbar" region, not "lumber" ... as the latter would certainly produce a "wooden" performance! (Sorry!) Regards,

Matt that was just too cool! You owned that piece - lovely and graceful. Really well-done - it's so much fun to have you on the forums! Congratulations!

Great job Matt. I agree with the others here. You'll be going places someday.
Try sitting on the edge of the bench instead of the middle. This will help in your movement.
John

Please add more videos to YouTube. They don't have to be from competition! Tell all those people above that you have the lumbar slouch because you're so tall...

One of the judges marked me down a little for stage presence not totally there. He told me that I really looked like I enjoyed it but I didn't acknowledge my audience enough. I love to listen to Debussy, playing him is well.. uhhmm...
