I am searching for downloadable scores of Christmas carols. Just a bunch to play and sing along with my wife and children.

Honestly, I prefer a simple free download. But a recommendation of a great value-for-money downloadable score or on-line-buy-book is also welcome (great value-for-money shouldn't be to hard with the low dollar thumb ha )

I looked at the always-at-the-top-of-the-posts-list-thread about downloadable scores, but nothing good came up; if any Christmas scores at all, only commercial, quite expensive books.

.. it seems to me that the inherent nature [of the piano tone] becomes really expressive only by means of the present tendency to use the piano as a percussion instrument - Béla Bartók, early 1927.

Robert :

I know you said that you were looking for downloadable scores of Christmas carols, but may I suggest that most music stores (I wouldn't think Norway would be an exception) have volumes of Christmas carols in SATB format at reasonable prices. You could probably pick up one for 25 to 30 Krone, and you'd have them all bound in one small volume, rather than on loose computer sheets.

Regards,

There are some free Christmas carols here:

http://www.mfiles.co.uk/other-christmas.htm

Scroll down to the middle of the page and you'll see a little over a dozen songs available to print and download as midi. Make sure you have the Scorch plugin installed in your browser. :-)

The site also offers a Christmas-specific DVD course, but I find the $99 price tag a bit excessive. You may feel differently... Good luck! thumb
