Probably the second best Chopin Polonaise (the first being the Heroic and the third being the Militarie) I have decided that I want to learn how to play it. Has anyone played this and if so, what is the level of difficulty for this peice?

As the Polonaises go, this Op 26 C# minor is a relatively easy work, technically, and has some quite lovely moments in it. Similar to the "Military" - but more so - it has a rather abrupt ending, an ending that is somehow difficult to pull off convincingly. Do try it. I've always enjoyed playing it (for whatever that[/b] might be worth!).

Regards,

My two favorites are the Polonaise in f# minor, op. 44, and the Polonaise-Fantasie.

I did play the c# minor Polonaise once, and it's not super difficult technically. It is a fantastic piece though, you won't regret working on it. Have fun!
