How many of you out there have at least tried to compose your own work, even if you or others think that its terrible. I myself (at age 16 now) have composed several things but haven't had any of it pattented or published. I composed my first work at the age of 14 bleive it or not and although it isn't a difficult piece at all it is very imaginitave and delightful to listen to. Over the past few years, I have composed quite a few others, some extreamly easy, and others that are a bit more difficult. How many of you out there have ever composed or attempted to compose? I would like like to know. By the way, all the stuff I have written are currently untitled.

By the way, I am completely SELF TAUGHT. I have NEVER had a lesson before in my life and have only been playing since about 12. My favriote composer is Chopin! I play his works all the time. (As best as I can that is. I need to get a lot better before I will be able to tackle most of his works).

everything i attempted to write i never played again... =] it's always either too sentimental or too dreamy...=[

i'm mostly self-taught too, and it might interest you to know that Chopin was mostly self-taught as well when it came to the piano...
