Hi. please excuse me if i am posting in the wrong place. WHere would i go to find out if my piano, Kingsbury Model #160280 (i am assuming this is the model # or serial #) is worth anything? Thanks so much!

That is the serial number, which indicates it was made in 1912. You didnt tell us if it's an upright or a grand, but I'm guessing upright. Unrestored and unrefinished, and with little or no maintenance (most of these oldies dont get the tuning they need), it is not worth anything except whatever sentimental value it may hold for you. There are simply too many of them, almost no demand, and they all need to be rebuilt. Now, if it has been refinished or had other major work done, it may be worth more.......Sam

We have a finished Kingsbury with the serial number of 126736. The piano has not had regular maintenance but is seemingly good condition. We are having a Church Garage Sale next week and are thinking of adding the piano to the mix. If there are so many Kingsbury's out there, does this one have any worth. We have no idea of how to price it. Any help would be great!

Although Kingsburys were good pianos, their current value depends on their condition, which can only be ascertained by an inspection by a knowledgeable person. Even at that, the value of old uprights has plummetted due to the influx of inexpensive uprights from Asia.
