I am interested in joining a lot of these since I am recently retired. The only one I've heard about is the Leschetizky Society but I'm sure there must be more "piano clubs" in NYC where people get together and play/discuss music.

Does anyone know any other "piano clubs" in NYC?

Thank you!!

I'm also interested if there is such a thing in NYC, but I have to confess I've never seen mention of one in the places I would expect to find it: craigslist, local classifieds, etc.

Maybe if someone here on the forum is feeling brave they'll create one. ;-)

Thought I'd resurrect this thread since others in the NYC area might find it of interest:

Pianoloverus - check out the Greenwhich House School of Music on Barrow Street in the Village - they attract many serious amateur pianists and they have a wonderful performance class you can sign up and play in regularly - it meets every other week. It's not the kind of class where participants make comments, but it is run by the head of the piano department, an outstanding piano teacher, German Diaz, who does make valuable comments occasionally. They also host excellent master classes by guest pianists.
