Iam 21 have really gotten into playing the piano. I probably go at it for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours a day. I must admit its not a piano but rather a keyboard, but what I can understand is the pain in my back I have after sitting there for just a short time. Iam definently stiff and have to move around after 20 minutes. I sit with my feet flat on the floor but I am still not sure I should be experienceing this. Give me some feedback

You may try and experiment with various bench heights...you do have an adjustable bench, correct? If not, it may be worth it to look into buying one. Unfortunately, they are relatively expensive, the cheapest (brand new, anyway) being I believe around $300. Still, it's a good investment. I remember a few years ago, when I was maybe 10 or 12, I fit perfectly on the bench I had for my Roland digital piano, but then around the middle of last year (when I was 14...) I began getting more serious and practicing harder, and I began to have similar back pains. Finally, after consulting my teacher, we ended up getting an adjustable bench and that turned out to be the solution! Mine also elimated wrist pain which would come about only after an hour or two of practice (not a good thing...)
Also, try and make sure you sit as upright as possible. I tend to slouch quite a bit (I'll often situate myself upright and then as soon as I begin playing, distort my entire posture into various positions...), and I still get minor pains.

Music making should not be a painful activity. Firstly, make sure that the playing really does cause the pain and not just exacerbate soreness caused by something else. I have wrongly blamed piano playing for all sorts of things in the past. It isn't always easy to establish cause and effect, especially where there is a delay in time.

Goldberg's advice about sitting up straight is good. This will certainly improve every aspect of your playing. Beyond this it's difficult to make suggestions without seeing you in action. What you could do is get an experienced pianist to watch you. Another person can frequently spot things which you cannot. I wouldn't spend a lot of money until I was certain of the precise cause and that the expenditure would actually solve the problem.
