I have to learn a modern piece and I particularly like the Kabalevsky Rondo Op. 59. Especially this section: http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/clipserve/B000003W53001001/1/ref=mu_sam_ra001_001/103-7610740-2159006

My teacher said it was "too easy" and told me to try the Sonata No. 3. He gave me the score for Sonata No.3, but apart from the Bugs Bunny theme in the 3rd movement I don't find it particularly appealing.

I would appreciate if you could tell me which is more challenging/impressive, and which one sounds better overall. I will have to go through a lot of trouble to get the Rondo score, and am wondering if it is worth it.
