don't pretend to be harsh but...

I think his music is just a disaster. Pretty much close to what you can do with the arpeggiator of a synth.

And please, Who cares how much notes you can fit in a second!. There's a pianist called MIDI that can fit 10000 notes in a sec.

****** IMHO!!! ******

And Liszt wasn't about speed only.

It's a simple rule of natural progression in the arts that when an artist runs out of ideas, or never had any to begin with, they will use mere "shock value" of the "new" in order to attain fame.

Heh. Too many superlatives in the text. Like an ad by some fly-by-night company's magical hair restorer

The more melodic pieces are relaxing to listen to.

Liberace supposedly could do a heck of a lot of notes in one second.

He was just MAHVELOUS!!!

OK it's an old thread, but the topic is resurrected in today's BBC News.

It was new to me anyway. 19 notes per second and a continuous wave of music, transcending blah blah ...

Can't say I was particularly impressed, but what do I know as a beginner, and I have no doubt he can play better than I am or will be able to.

What a revolutionary approach to the piano, constant arpeggios. The man is obviously a genius and an incredible talent. I'm so glad the BBC has now annointed him as one of the fastest pianists living [/sarcasm]

OK I'm with everyone else, this is certainly a joke. Too bad he looks like Rasputin.

While the music is interesting (not revolutionary, imo) the website is just bragging, which makes me dislike him too quickly. "Fastest pianist in the world" etc. . . I don't like such statements, for it isn't a way to judge a pianist.

Bleh. This is rubbish. A mishmash of New Age mysticism, half-baked science, trivial music, ridiculous assertions and semi-illiterate ramblings. And the website is littered with spurious characters. Let's call a spade a spade and move on.

OK, I'll say it: I think it's an idoctrination into a cult.
