Having just seen the Cincinnatti May Festival's presentation of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" on PBS, I'm struck with the notion that Orff's music can be expressed by the equation:
Orff = (Puccini + Philip Glass) / 2 :p
I can't recall if Orff wrote piano music, did he?
I think I saw "Baldwin" on the fallboard of one of the two pianos on stage, as would be expected.

OK, then...
Orff = (Puccini + [Glass / Pi]) / 2
I can't find that he wrote anything substantial for piano solo. Not sure about the pedagogic end of things, however.
