I was just curious, when you have tripod, and angelfire websites like this, do you have to pay for them? I've always wanted to know, and since you just made a website you would know. \:\)

You get what you pay for though. Tripod and other free web services are really terrible.

Um, if you mean the college critic website, then the "O Movies" review page:

1) Doesn't wrap text, so you have to scroll horizontally to read it.

2) The movie titles are off the screen to the right, so I can't instantly see which movie I'm reading about.

3) When I click on a movie like "Rudy," it simply takes me to the R page, where I have to find Rudy myself. An anchor would work better.

4) Despite being called the college critic, most of the reviews contain grammatical errors that barely approach a high school writing level.

Therefore, I second Valarking's statement.

I've had it with free web hosting. It's usually just a scam -- slow, unreliable, and infused with advertisements. A few months ago I decided that if I paid for a website and for decent server maintenance, that would pay off for me. I won't include the address here because my intention is not to spam, but just realize that the difference between free hosting and a few dollars a month is huge.

My suggestion to the original poster would be to invest some time into learning web programming. Microsoft FrontPage is a good program to start out with, then as you become more advanced you can transition into Macromedia Dreamweaver. You'll find that your website will come out looking much more professional then the templates offered on Tripod or Geocities.

Good luck!

K, I use front page to create that site for now, although I'm going to move to dreamweaver soon, and redo the whole site with flash and everything.

Secondly, I think mac's or some non-I.E. programs don't read the text as it should show up, perhaps that is what you are seeing?

Finally, I write the review very fast and without spelling errors. They might have grammatical errors but I'm sure they are very few and far between, especially after writing hundreds of reviews.
