I saw the Kissin recital at the SUNY performance center in NY last sunday, and it was an excellent experience! He played about 4 encores to the enthusiastic audience; I even met him and got his autograph after the recital!

CrashTest---I'm going to see him next week (also saw him 2 years ago) at Hill auditorium in Ann Arbor MI.

It's interesting, i read last week that when asked about the music scores for his music, Kissin replied, he does not bring them on the road with him, that all the music is in his head--I hate that guy!!!

Ah, I'm seeing Evgeny "Kissing" tomorrow in Boston at Symphony Hall! Whoo hoo. It's going to rock. I'll be the only one headbanging.

I had no idea Kissin is having a concert tour in the US. Where can I get his concert schedule, is it on the internet somewhere? Do you know if he'll be having a recital in Southern California anytime soon? Thank you.

I would love to see him also live. I bought a DVD of his called Evgeny Kissin "The Gift Of Music" A Christopher Nupen Film. I never get tired of watching this DVD. I think he is really a master musician. Does anyone know of any other DVDs or video cassets that he has that are available now? I really get inspired every time I watch that film.

I took photos of him on stage when he was done playing, but those came out so dark that one can't make out anything in them.

Oh, BTW, how much time did you get to spend with Evgeny? Was it just a quick meeting or did you get to talk to him about playing?

Zelda! The second photo you posted is dated 1994 on it! Commmme on. Post a recent photo of yourself so we can see what you look like now!!! I am just kidding. I think you look nice in both photographs, but I would agree with you, I like the second one better also. Like Bernard said, "We are our worst critics." I take it you use to watch "The Honeymooners" with Jackee Gleeson, "har-de-har-har" Or maybe not, your to young for that show. Anyway... thanks for posting those photos. Maybe you can use a computer program like like "Microsoft Picture it" to lighten the photos that did not come out? You would be surprised what some of these programs can do to fix photos. Just a thought.

Not even Adobe Photoshop could fix the other photos. I work with graphics all day; I'm a web designer. I still couldn't do anything with them.

I spent much time with Evgeny and his piano teacher, Anna. I think Anna was weirded out by me though. At first they both thought I was a punk kid. But they had quite the opposite perception our conversation. :rolleyes:

Forgot to say I've never seen the honeymooners, and it's not because I'm too young. That's almost like saying that I'm too young to play Beethoven. (which doesn't make sense haha) Anyway, my favorite show is I Love Lucy. That's pretty darn old. =0)
I don't really focus on modern Tv shows...except Roswell.

I Love Lucy! That's a show I used to watch a lot... until they stopped showing it on TV here to make way for the likes of Buffy...
