There is a block party coming up in a few weeks in my neighborhood, and I promised to play a few classical pieces for it. I was thinking Beethoven's Minuet in G (It sounds like a very happy and festive song) and something by Chopin. Are there any suggestions? (Does not have to be a Chopin piece but would prefer).

If you're going to be playing towards dusk or evening, a Chopin waltz or two would be very nice I think. If earlier in the day, perhaps a Pollonaise. These are both based on dances and can have a festive air about them. Perhaps?

Jgoo:
How about a little block party boogie? Maybe even a roughty rag?
Unless they are all Charles Emerson Winchestor III, they should like it.
