Is this page still up to date?
http://www.rcmexaminations.org/acadinfo/syllabi.htm

because I am thinking of doing grade 8 practical for piano, and I've heard people saying they've updated the syllabus or something, and the page there says RCM is still using 2001 syllabus.

-I am thinking of registering for Winter 2009 to have practical at January 2009, So what syllabus are they using?

If you contact the RCM they can give you that information.

Meowth, you have asked about the RCM in multiple threads, and have received answers in the first. Somebody has already pointed this out.

[edit: my links have gone funny so I've removed them]

Yes it is, but still on the topic of the RCM. You would have better luck getting an answer if you posted your question as part of your original thread. Also, if you have followed up on any of the suggestions given, it would be nice for the people who gave those suggestions to know.

For your current question, you can contact the RCM at the link you have already given, and ask them directly. You can do that by phone or e-mail - they are very helpful people.

The examination selections in the 2001 syllabus are good only for students completing examinations this year. Henceforth, the 2008 syllabus is the one to consult. I have a friend completing her ARCT practical this month and she had to have special permission from RCM to use what is now "outdated" requirements from the 2001 syllabus

You can order the new Piano Syllabus 2008 Edition from Frederick Harris Music Co., Limited, as I have told you in previous posts. I suggest you do so before starting any repertoire and examination plans. It will answer all the questions you have been asking in previous posts as well as what you are asking in this one.

Regards,

BruceD
