What's the ranking of the following criteria for admission into music schools?
Audition (technicality) Audition (musicality) Audition (picking harder pieces) GPA Awards, competitions won Master classes participated Past experience teaching Written essays, recommendations Age Attitude, knowing who you want to study with (is there an interview?) Connections with Teacher(s)
Any others that I missed?

MAYBE resume of accomplishments--this can affect their attitude toward you going into the audition (but probably won't make or break you)

Interesting that this topic was brought up today, because I just received two letters - a rejection from Mannes and an acceptance to the San Fransico conservatory (still waiting for some others), and was just wondering about your question today.
For one of my other schools, I do have a "connection" with the chair of the piano department and I think I played a pretty decent audition , so if i DO get accepted to that one, it will support the theory of connections.
As for your actual question :
Obviously your audition counts the most. You have to perform well and make sure to demonstrate what you think you have to offer musically , I don't really know about essays or GPA's (i think they may use these as "tie breakers") I would assume that faculty connections are a factor - If someone can match a name with a face then, concisely or not, they are going to pick that person. I do, however, think that level of rep. CAN be important. If you give a good audition, but play the pathetique and chopin waltzes, You may give the impression that you can't handle difficult repertoire.
