How do I get rid of extra tickets to see Alfred Brendel at Carnegie this thursday?

Can I sell them infront of the hall before the performance?

Most people just call in saying they can't make it so the box office can open up the seat(s) for someone else.

The reimbursement comes in the form of tax relief for unused tickets.

I believe that you can sell them to any prospective buyer before the performance. Just make sure that you don't sell them for a penny over the price on the tickets; NYPD doesn't like scalpers, I'm told!

You might also be able to call the box office, tell them that you can't make it and have them exchange the tickets for you. I've done that before, worked just fine. Too bad you can't make it! It sounds like it would have been really cool!

You can donate your tickets to the box-office for a write-off on next year's taxes, or you can sell them.
