My mom got one of these pianos at an estate auction for free. It's not perfect but it's not horrible. Anyway we know nothing about this thing but when she got it someone had painted over it with some drab puke green and we wrote it off as junk until my dad lifted the lid and discovered it's made of SOLID tiger oak. There is no veneer on this thing and there are several pieces of wood that are 5+" thick. I didn't see a serial number anywhere but that doesn't mean I didn't overlook it. I saw where the Harvard Piano Co was made in KY or OH but there is little information about it. My dad wants to tear it down and use the wood but I told him to hold off until I find out what this thing is and if it's worth restoring.

The Harvard Piano Co. was in the Cincinnati, OH area, located in Dayton, Ky. Dayton is a stone's throw across the river.
I assume that it's an upright. There are few here who will tell you that it's worth restoring. A piano like this can be brought back as a musical instrument, but it's not a winning proposition in terms of monetary investment.

I've noticed there's not much information about Harvard Piano Co and nothing that mentions Boston so I figured Boston might be the style/model? I couldn't find a tag on this thing anywhere and the soundboard look like brass. It's fairly tall for an upright since I have to tip toe to see inside the back although I'm only 5'4".
