I was really surprised to find this performance of Victor Merzhanov (instructor at the Moscow Conservatory) performing the 3rd movement of Chopin's 2nd Sonata. His interpretations of the other movements are not really to my taste, but I think his slow movement is special (despite a few flubs here and there), especially the enchanting middle section.
She was with me even in my grave
When the last of my friends turned away,
And she sang like the first storm heaven gave.
Or as if flowers were having their say.
