Haha, so was my highschool in Canada. But I'm pretty sure that's just because we we're an international school catering to Korean students.

Hmm, doesn't ring a bell . I think the branches of SYMF are different as well? I usually see the same people every year.

Wow! Hmm, yea I don't think I have ever seen him play at the winners circle. I guess he plays for a different branch?

Hmm, now that's quite feasible. What did you play and did you get into the winners circle?

I was wearing this bright red shirt that day and got 2nd for bach prelude and fuge in Eb WTC 1. Ironically, I gave a brilliant performance of the 4th ballade and won NOTHING for that. (She wrote I should have worn leather shoes)

I think I might have remembered you? Haha, my memory is so bad! And I didn't know that dress was such a big factor!

Oh, and are you competing again this year?

Aww, I'm competing in the Bach Category, Chopin Etude, and Chopin Nocturne. The Nocturne is worrying me since the last part is so hard to control. Oh well, I hope to do the Concerto category next summer! It sounds like so much fun...

This year is my 2nd to last SYMF! I hope to grab at least 1st in one category to continue my streak :p

Ancient Upright.
I like to read these threads, and you seem cool. Just not so keen on flirting.

Just watch out for these:

It may be fun whilst you are flirting but believe me, when you find out - not so funny anymore.

I agree!

Princess, did you ever think we might have come up with wierd names like Ancient Upright so flirters wouldn't know? ;\)

Oh well, it's a piano forum, so it shouldn't matter.

And, Sam, did you laugh your pants off like I did over that whole missunderstanding last night?

Yes but as you are now well aware i can be very curious so i will just keep on flirting until something hurrendously embarrasing like last night happens. And even then it doesn't stop me. Life is too short.

And to be honest, if you give yourself an ambiguous name, you've only got yourself to blame when you recieve unwanted messages.

At least thats something i don't have to worry about.

x (and this is not to annoy you personally AU - it is simply something i always have done and something i will continue to do)

My name has nothing to do with either old pianos that are still standing up, nor does it have anything to do with being royalty. So, I suppose I have one of the more ambiguous names... yet I still enjoy a good bout of flirting. \:\)

Yes - but you have now shared with the world that you are a man, so you dont have to worry about getting unwanted messages.

That was the other reason i set up this thread - to avoid these situations. Not just because i wanted to know who was male - ok, in fairness, - that was probably the major contributing factor.

I was going to say...you wanted to know for your own purposes. :p ;\)

As far as I go, you are correct in saying I told the world I am a male. I would hope that, through my flirtatious nature, I've exposed my personal preference...so that should take care of the other issue. :p ;\)

No, but the rest of us certainly enjoyed it. And it wasn't such a bad thing. Ms. Upright seemed to get a chuckle out of it. ;\)
