Thanks! Email me at EHpianist@aol.com and I will let you know how to order. To listen to some of the soundclips go to my duo's website: http://www.pianofourhands.com, at least you'll get an idea of what you're buying!

I can highly recommend at least her solo CD. I am not one for duo/four-hands piano so I only bought her solo CD but it is great!

Well, I had the opportunity to hear Elena and Laura play last night at the Mannheim Hochschule for Music. They played to a nearly filled hall. (A good turnout for a Wednesday night.)

I was highly impressed with their pianism. They are an awesome duo: tremendous technique, artistry, and presentation. Listening to them with eyes closed (which required significant effort on my part ... they are both very pretty ladies), their playing was so synchronized that it was difficult to tell that there were two pianists playing.

This pair is for real. Two weeks ago I heard the Paratore brothers and the Grau/Schumacher duo play at the Frankfurt Alten Oper. Elena & Laura easily play at that level.

I got a chance to meet them after the concert and to talk to Elena's parents for a few minutes. Nice ladies and a nice family.

Unfortunately, I don't have digital photos. Took the camera but forgot to take pictures. I'll remember the next time I see them play.

Wow, thanks JPM. I am still in Germany (in Berlin), will be returning to Madrid tomorrow. It was lovely meeting you at the concert, it is pretty incredible the way the internet brings people around the world closer.

I was surprised at the turnout in Mannheim as we had been forwarned that because of Conservatory politics (it was held in the MusikHochschule there) that we would probably have a very small audience. The pianos were Hamburg Steinways...and didn't come close to the Mason and Hamlins Alex provided us with in Seattle. They were skittish pianos and had very little depth to the sound, but at least they sounded like eachother, unlike the pianos in Detmold where one was a brand new steinway and the other was at least 20 years old and had a completely different sound. The audience in Detmold was mostly music students, many Asians who were just an absolutely wonderful audience. They had grins from ear to ear while they clapped and would stomp on the floor to make more noise (as I used to do as a student too). Everyone both in Mannheim and in Detmold was kind and easygoing, unlike experiences I had had in the past in Germany. All in all the concerts were a success though Laura na dI only wish we would have had more time to see the cities we played in!!

Hopefully we will meet again soon, Pat.
