has anyone played his D flat piano concerto? i'm listening to it for the first time, amazed. i need to start learning a concerto for this summer and i'm thinking about giving this one a shot, but maybe some ideas on the difficulty if anyone has played it or anything else by him of this size (not that he put a whole lot out there).

hmmmm....I've heard of the concerto but i've never actually heard it played. It is probably pretty cool though. I've heard a few people play his Toccata, which is awesome!

If you're interested in hearing Khatchaturian's Piano Concerto, check out William Kapell's recording on RCA. It simply has to be heard to be believed!
