Does anyone know about the difficult of this piece. Its very Chopin like. And its not played a lot. How would you compare difficulties on this conceto to his other pieces like etudes.

I would venture to say slightly easier than Grieg. Quite beautiful.

great concerto it should be played way more, I would have thought jus based on listening to it that its harder than the grieg concerto. but ive never looked at the score or tried to play it.

It is easier than Grieg. I have learned it and played both the solo part and the orchestral reduction. Just MHO.

It's not an ideal score but you can judge the difficulty of the piece by yourself.

And it is quite beautiful, but it is not a piano showcase so i supposed thats why its not played often.
I have the Ashkenazy recording and it is great. I cannot offer any insight on its difficulty, other than that i cant play it

its certainly NOT easier than the grieg. you guys are insane! yeah theres a lot of tough technical challenges that are taken directly from his etudes. the most obvious is the part in the 3rd movement that recalls op.8 #12

That's what I was thinking. But I haven't played either, I'm only going off of looking at the score and listening.
