$14,000 iPod Grand Without The Piano!

Well, if you’re going to spend $14,000 on a concerto piano that is not actually a piano but instead a dining room table you had better at least make sure it has an iPod dock in it!

The way it works is the middle console of the table lifts up just like a grand piano and will fill the room with enticing tunes direct from your iPod. As you listen to the music you can sit and have evening cocktails and then a full dinner. (Simply get the silverware from a hidden drawer under the table!).

The music will not get in the way of delectable delights set on the table as it will play with or without the soundboard open. And all that for just $14,000! Seriously. Lovegrove & Repucci have set it all up for you complete with a recommended dinner music playlist.

Ummm...not practical for dining in Asia, where people usually serve themselves from dishes in the middle of the table. Opening the lid will cause aforementioned dishes to relocate themselves on the floor. \:D

I hope my mutual fund isn't invested in this company. Or could it be a loss leader for Yamaha?

From their Posthumous Liberace line? No piano innards needed, just him playing through the iPod! \:D

Hi Bear,

Thanks, we enjoyed meeting you and your lovely wife too. My sister said "what nice people, inviting us into their home even though the were right in the middle of a remodel".

Thanks for letting me play too, I needed a piano fix.
How's the remodel doing?

And don't forget, now that we know how big your place is, we're thinking there should be a piano forums party in your future \:\)

Great, just what we need, to start having a bunch of Steinway dealers coming here and droning on about:

- Steinway Dining Room Tables are used in more dining rooms than all the other manufacturers put together world wide.

- The only competition for a new Steinway Dining Room Table is a used Steinway Dining Room Table.

- Use of anything other than true Steinway table covers, napkins, and silverware means that you don't have a true Steinway Dining Room Table.

- Steinway Dining Room Tables are a superiour investment, 401K's are for losers.

- etc ....

Dinner is one time I need to get away from pianos.

Unless dinner is absolutley aweful.

Luckily I never have that problem...

Not knocking them, inside joke. They are starting to put the Steinway brand on various non-piano produts, like this...

I agree that at the end it is only a fancy dining table, not much practical at that, with an ipod music system which cannot be soo expensive...

So I wonder where the USD 14,000 comes from.....

hhhmmm...

might there be a (how was it? oh, yes...) "connection to the wonderful Steinway family"? ... ;\)

(if they make one in a very kitch red they might sell one to Elton John, though... ).

I don't think it's very sensible, but if you have that much money to do with whatever you want...

I know I won't ever have one

Ah, but any culinarily trained owner would never settle for an upright version, though I hear it's more popular in Europe where space is at a premium.

For even more flexibility, I can produce a digital version. That's right, it has a built in headphone jack, and can switch from a buffet table, dining room table, formal dining room table, breakfast bar and 8 other types of tables with the push of a button! Not only compatible with ipods, but it can play MIDI files when connected to a PC!

Then there is the Chinese version for those on a budget. There is some question of longevity with this model, but don't believe the FUD. Just check out our 7' Eatingberg (only available thru online purchase, delivery times may vary).
