I've always been interested in pieces imitating water or water related things. Here is my quickly composed list. Can anyone
think of others to add?

Debussey; Reflets dans l'eau, Ondine, To give thanks to the morning rain, Jardins sous la pluie

Ravel; Ondine, Jeux d'eau, A ship on the ocean

Liszt: Au bord d'une source, The Fountain at the Villa d'Este

Grieg: The Brooklet

Hmmm. I don't know. I usually disregard the titles and such. I usually just let the music take me to whatever place, color, event, or such that it wants to take me.

One work that I do associate with water is the first of the Chopin preludes -- both sounds and all that rolling of the wrist (at least my wrist). And just about anything by Liszt --it's always so "runny" if you know what I mean ;\)

Does Chopin's "Rain Drop" Prelude count?

Didn't Liszt write a piece called "St. Francis Walking on Water" or something like that? Forgive me on this because I'm not too hot on Liszt. I do not care for most of his compositions hence a little fuzzy about titles, etc.

debussy's "la mer" is pretty explicitly a portrait of water in sound. however, it is not written for the piano. :rolleyes:

Also, Debussy's "Le cathedrale engloutie" ("Sunken Cathedral") from the preludes. I just love this one.
