I have searched high and low, far and wide on Yamaha's web site trying to find the manufacture dates (and whether it's grey-market) of a C3.

Can anyone PLEASE point me to the web page that lists them?

Thanks in advance,

George

Axtremus - thanks for the information.

The page you referenced shows age and where the piano was built. The page also says:

Yamaha Pianos produced for the U.S. market have been manufactured in 3 locations:

Hamamatsu, Japan
Thomaston, Georgia
South Haven, Michigan

Would I be correct in assuming that if the number I find is NOT in this list, it was built to be sold for the Japanese market?

Thanks.

George

Not necessarily "Japanese market," but rather -- all other markets outside the US (Yamaha do sell lots of pianos world wide, not just Japan and the US). And those that were sold outside the US were not necessarily "built" to be sold only outside the US, but might simply not to have been "marketed/exported" to the US (i.e., they're not built any different than those marketed/exported to the US). ;\)
