Ginastera is a favorite of mine, and it's great that you got something out of his second piano concerto, which is one of his more uncompromising works -- it's definitely a wonderful expressionistic nightmare. Have you listened to his first concerto? It's perhaps more effective to audiences in general (last movement particularly). Die Krebs gehn zurucke, Die Stockfisch bleiben dicke, Die Karpfen viel fressen, Die Predigt vergessen. Die Predigt hat g'fallen. Sie bleiben wie alle.

OP Jeff135 500 Post Club Member Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 912 Oregon	I have, his 1st concerto is certainly more conventional sounding than his 2nd concerto. But I suppose that's why his 2nd concerto stands out to me as something totally different. The clown is watching you.
