I am not able to answer your question with any knowledge, I'm afraid, but I can offer you a personal opinion having played a C3 studio just once. It's worth first saying that I have become something of a Yamaha enthusiast in recent years, having previously only loved Bosendorfers and thought I would always save up for one of them. I have noticed that the C3 seems to be consistently good (and I've now played loads of examples).
My one playing of a C3 studio was the only time I've been disappointed. The action seemed to be less good (somebody will probably prove me wrong technically!) and I was less able to control (and therefore enjoy) my playing. Shame, but it may of course have been a rogue.
