Music from the movie The Lord of the rings, a video of me performing this song.

Hope you enjoy it,

Saul

Very nice, Saul. Thanks for sharing.

Do you do more arrangements or original compositions? You have a talent for both.

Thanks Jerome!

Well, I do try to do both when I have the time.

Thanks again for listening!

I assume of course Saul that this is your transcription or arrangement right or did you play this as a ready-made transcription?? If you are more into this, then make sure that you don't miss the composers forum. Also the ABF forum where people may recognize this music more than the classically-oriented audience here including me.

Sorry to go off-topic but the art of transcription is totally underrated (when compared to original composition and the curiously interesting imrpovisation)

This custom pretty much fell into relative obscurity with the last efforts of Rachmaninoff. And I certainly want to know any other efforts by later composers.

Causes of this phenomenon certainly deserves a discussion (on its own though .. so we won't hijack Saul's thread .. which I am already guilty of at this moment).

Sorry for the delayed response Bassio.

This is an original arrangement of mine.

Best Wishes,

Saul

I enjoyed Pletnev's transcriptions of the Nutcracker very much, worth the search.

Just a little question: did you get the copyright holder's permission to transcribe the music? If not, you may be in for some trouble if they ever find out.

I have an ice cream. I cannot mail it, for it will melt.

He doesn't seem to be making much money by distributing his transcription, so I can't imagine what sort of trouble could possibly follow. Perhaps the trouble of having to remove it from Youtube? Even causing such trouble would be petty, if not stupid, of the copyright holder, like rejecting free promotion.

Thank you.

I didnt even write it down on paper. I just played it ... and made a video of it. Didnt make a dollar. Actually spend money rather make from it.

So trouble for what?

Its not business.. its fun...
