I worked on Heller's E minor etude a few months ago.

This was from a recital I gave.

Never heard the Etude in C.

Which one? Heller wrote a lot of etudes and I can think of 2 or 3 in C major without even going to look them up.

Well, that looks tough. Anybody got an urtext? My fingering is 1 2 and 5 for every chord bar 1 and they're staccato. Anybody got something different?

Hyonchingonchon. Very nicely played. You have a nice light touch when necessary, and played the chords nice and strong.

I have several of Heller's etudes, and they are all very musical and charming. Gaby Tu

gabytu, shouldn't you be giving credit to Debussy20? I don't see a link here to a hyonchingonchon recording (which is perhaps a good thing).

My apologies to Debussy 20. It was way past my bedtime when I was reading the various posts, and erroniously I thought it was hyonchingonchon doing the recording. So, Debussy 20, please forgive me. Your playing was really nice smooth and well articulated.

And thanks Janus for calling this oversight to my attention. Gaby Tu

Hahah, it's fine. This was from a while back. Heller wrote some great stuff and is somewhat underplayed in concert. He's used more as exercises.
