I've got an extra ticket to see Schiff. No charge it's an extra (I got them free!). If anyone is able it's at the RFH at 7.30pm. Let me know. Nice people who've been here a long time are preferred!

Diarmuid, unless you're in London, Kentucky, I won't be able to make it. What's the program? (I like to attend concerts vicariously. ;\) )

Well Mr. Schiff cancelled on me about a month ago due to sickness, so let's hope he's doing better now!

Wow, Diarmuid you lucky bugger!

Sadly, I'll be on a "fun trip out" tomorrow, earning brownie points.

Is this more of his Beethoven sonatas? I'll be interested to know how it goes.

David

Hi Guys,

Programme:

Joseph Haydn[/b] Piano Concerto in D, Hob.XVIII/11
Franz Schubert[/b] Symphony No.8 in B minor (Unfinished)
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart[/b] Piano Concerto No.24 in C minor, K.491

He's conducting and playing with the Philharmonia. I'll tell you all how it went \:\)

Diarmuid.

Damn! Got here a bit too late it seems, ah well hehehe - I happened to be in London that day you see. Well nevermind, there are plenty of other good concerts coming up, I thik (Brendel and Pollini are both playing later on sometime). Schiff is a really good pianist and I hope you enjoy the performance. Looking forward to the review!

Peter

Look at it a little more closely, I think there's a small chance that me and my friend (Schiff is one of his favourite pianists) might be able to grab a couple of student tickets that they sell shortly before the performance if we do get up to London. So who knows, a chance I might see you there!

Might see you there \:\) I'll be at the main ticket office around 7.15. I'll wait by the stairs until 7.25.

I wish I could go with you, Diam! Schiff is one of my very favorite living pianists! Sigh...
