Just heard a recording of this fantastic duet and can't believe I've never heard it before! Has anyone here played it? Sounds very difficult. I can post a link to a free mp3 download if anyone's interested, but you have to get through a boring duet by Rachmaninov before you get to the Lutoslawski.

I've played it. It's a two-piano duet. One of the parts is considerably harder than the other. I think it's a terrific piece - very imaginative.

Fantastic piece, I love it. I have the score for it and one day I'll learn it. It's another one of THOSE pieces.

I've played it. It's not as bad as it looks, and it's HUGE FUN.

I played it in college as part of another pianist's senior recital. She played the first part, but we really switched off because she couldn't play the first part of all the variations.

As Kreisler said, it's a blast to play.
